"In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies,
but the silence of our friends."
                                       - Martin Luther King Jr.

[Inspired by Mahatma Gandhi's success with non-violent activism, King had visited the Gandhi family in India in 1959.]

In the above words Martin Luther King declared that it is the silence of the friends that damages us much. In democracy the people are often found vocal while dissenting. So we find the words of enemies in bulk. But those who support our cause and believe in our honesty of the purpose hardly come forward to say anything. It happens mostly in the case of intellegent people. They find recluse in the silence.

So in our fight against the odds of our life, we are not much damaged by the acts of our opponets. But our friends those who do not come to our help do the worst damage.
