Ms. Dawn and Dew

Yes, the friends can harm us in many ways, sometimes by acting and sometimes by remaining silent.

What a great experience it encompasses! I have seen such falls because very often I did not support myself with my goodness! I simply remember my silence in face of my fall.

To Raj Arumugam jee,

Yes, it's difficult to garner support for a great causes that needs long battle. But we expect more from our near-ones. And it happens in every one's life that he/she is not damaged by the acts of oponets as at the hands of friends, expressly or impliedly.
Thanks for the visit and the thoughtful comment.

To Mr. AKBER A. KASSAM

Thanks for supplying such a valuable information about the great man Martin Luther King. What we lack today is the proper education to our next generation about the great people who had walked on the earth.

It's a difficult one, Naval Langa. On the other hand we cannot also expect others  to support us in all things we do - though perhaps King was referring to some particular instance in his life...

Shri Naval Langa Ji and readers,

Martin Luther King Jr. inspired a civil rights rally of 250,000 people in our nation's capitol Washington D.C. in 1963, with a visionary speech in which he expressed both a warning and a hope.

In terms of race relations, the American body politics is fractured, tormented and hurting. It will take dedicated and inclusive leadership. Father King, offered a sound message: We must learn to live together as brothers and sisters or we will perish as fools. He was also a great symbol of compassion and hope. His unconquerable faith touched millions of people around the world.

The loss of Martin Luther King Jr. as well as Mahatma Ghandi Ji, John and Robert Kennedy, and Mother Teresa of Culcutta are irreplaceable. They are not here with us - but in a far better place.!!!!

Akber Kassam.

To Mr. palahali

I read your blog on M L King and Mahatma Gandhi.  Inspiring one.
Mr. King was the man attached with ground, so he knew about the tiniest thing that could block one's progress.

To Dr Madhvi
Madhvijee,

It's very difficult to stand by a friend in his or her odd times. But this requres commitment to the friendship and the comitment to the common cause involved. We have seen the great people like Mahatma Gandhi and Subhachandra Bose, prefering their own ways after walking together for years.

this is a great pearl of wisdom. its true that those who keep quiet are the ones to bring downfall of friends. what is the use of having a wellwisher who can't stand for you in the time of crisis?
